The other day I discovered I was able to use the wireless internet without connecting to our lame VPN, or even paying $1 each time I went to double-check it still wasn't working. Even better, it actually worked. Finally my university has come to their senses, and realised that internet access isn't anywhere near expensive enough to be worth monitoring like that. But sadly what I thought was enlightenment was merely a security hole in their system, and small and short-lived hole I imagine I will remember with bliss for years to come.
